WAKEFIELD, Mass. – Encore Card Services, the two-year-old card processing arm of the Encore Cooperative, a credit union owned and operated effort which offers member credit unions access to EFT/ATM services, shared branching, merchant card services and card processing services, announced it has signed its third and fourth credit unions for card services. The $27 million United Services CU, headquartered in Ashville, North Carolina and the $83 million Genesis FCU, headquartered in Springfield, Virginia, will join the $54 million Public Health Services FCU and $89 million AFL CIO FCU in processing their card transactions with Encore. "It has been hard for us to get our message out about our benefits and the advantages we offer," explained Liz McLean, spokesman for the card services cooperative. "We are not as well known as some of the much larger and more well established brands," she added.
