ONTARIO, Calif. – Eighty credit unions in the New York area have joined CO-OP Network since 2004, including recent additions the $1.9 billion Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union and $531 million AmeriCU Credit Union. "Each of the credit unions participated in our network through Card Services, an affiliate of the New York State Credit Union League (NYSCUL), which signed a member-shareholder agreement with CO-OP Network last year," says CO-OP CEO Stan Hollen. "This partnership, which provides Card Services' credit union clients with national surcharge-free ATM access for their members, has helped CO-OP Network expand its ATM base throughout the Northeast while quickly increasing our credit union presence throughout New York State." Card Services has converted 66 of 80 credit union card programs from another processor to CO-OP Network. When completed later this year, CO-OP Network will have added more than 1 million new members and more than 300 ATMs to their network.
