INDEPENDENCE, Mio. – For United Consumers Credit Union nothing says thanks like Member Appreciation Days held at its branches. "We know our members have many choices when it comes to taking care of their personal finances," said UCCU President/CEO Chris McCreary. "Member Appreciation Day is just a small token of our appreciation to our members for choosing to do their business with the credit union." To help make the day memorable, members visiting the branches are treated to Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, hot dogs/hamburgers/bratwurst, chips, soft drinks and special giveaways. In addition, staffers made the drive-thru window an experience by serving as "carhops", going from car to car taking members' food orders, then delivering their order while members make their transactions. "Member Appreciation Day gives us a chance to meet with our members in an informal setting," said McCreary. "It gives them a chance to ask questions and express their ideas and financial needs to us."
