NEEDHAM, Mass. – With several years of consolidation still continuing, the core processing market for banks contains some names quite familiar in credit union land. For instance, Fiserv has gone upmarket and now has 16 of the 100 largest financial service institutions on its platforms. Metavante (through its Kirchman acquisition) and Fidelity Information Services also have a strong presence. Many of the biggest banks, however, use a platform not deployed at credit unions: the Hogan Banking System from Computer Sciences Corp.
