SALEM, Ore. – Marion and Polk Schools Credit Union has recently celebrated turning 70 with the opening of its new Administration Center here in downtown Salem. The new 43,000 square-foot building is located at the former site of a PGE line depot, shop and warehouse. MaPS administrative employees now occupy the new building's third and fourth floors and part of the first, with the remaining 15,000 leased. The center does not house a branch; however, a walk-up ATM is slated for early fall. MaPS CU President/CEO Dan Penn, says the decision to move the administrative staff is both recognition of the credit union's solid growth and its ongoing commitment to the city. "We see this as an investment in our community, as well as a great move for our employees and members," Penn said. "Downtown Salem is really on the move and MaPS wants to be a part of that renaissance."
