ST. LOUIS – Gateway Federal Employees Credit Union is revamping its image with a new name- Gateway Regional CU. "We serve a diverse membership," said Gateway Regional CU President Patty Sadauskas. "We think our new name better reflects that diversity and helps us better communicate the inclusive philosophy of the credit union." The $37 million credit union was chartered in 1956 to serve federal employees in the north St. Louis area and today given the now diverse membership, according to Sadauskas, the new name will help the credit union better communicate the inclusive philosophy of the credit union. "As we enter our 50th year of serving our members, I can't think of a more appropriate time to introduce the many improvements we have planned, starting with our new name," Sadauskas said. "Not too many individuals get excited about turning 50 years old, but for a financial institution it's a significant accomplishment especially given the many financial institutions that have disappeared in just the past 10 years."
