ROCHESTER, N.Y. – ESL Federal Credit Union CEO Dave Fiedler speaks at a morning rally to kick-off the ESL Day of Caring. Held in collaboration with the United Way of Greater Rochester, the annual event drew more than 27,000 volunteers from local companies, organizations, unions, and schools that completed more than 850 projects throughout the community. This in-kind donation of time, talent and materials was valued at $2 million dollars in services for Rochester area not-for-profit organizations. Rochester tops the nation in the number of volunteers for this one-day volunteer event which includes projects ranging from neighborhood clean-ups and beautification projects to delivering meals to homebound seniors.
