Cendant Marketing Group Launches New Insurance Offerings

NORWALK, Conn. – Cendant Marketing Group – which includes Trilegiant Corporation and Progeny Marketing Innovations – is test marketing a slate of new insurance products for 2005. Cendant Marketing Group’s expansive test marketing initiative includes a variety of innovative new insurance products ranging from comprehensive accident and supplemental health insurance to disability, travel and more. In all, the group is test marketing six new products this year. “We are growing our business by strengthening our testing efforts, enhancing our relationships with financial institution partners and insurance carriers, and above all delivering excellent service and new products,” said Ronald Clarke, vice president of insurance for Cendant Marketing Group. “Testing is the life-blood of what we do as a direct marketer, and our dedication to testing gives us a distinct competitive advantage in the marketplace.” Here is a snapshot of the insurance products Cendant Marketing Group is test marketing in 2005: 1. Comprehensive Accident – A flexible three-way benefit plan, offered by The Hartford, is a way for families to receive income in the event of an accidental death, or if an accident leads to disability or a hospital stay. 2. Breadwinners Accidental Death & Dismemberment (A&D) – The AD&D coverage, offered by The Hartford, provides family breadwinners an income in the case of accidental injury, death or dismemberment. The breadwinners’ coverage also includes non-insurance services, such as access to credit reports and referrals for legal consultation and tax assistance. 3. Lump Sum Hospital Accident Protection (HAP) -a health insurance supplement that covers hospitalization and emergency room expenses for accidents. The benefit pays the individual directly in the event of an accident. 4. Enhanced HealthSaver – This service includes all the popular health benefits of the group’s HealthSaver discount program – including prescriptions, dental care, vision care, hearing care, alternative medicine and wellness – combined with the above Lump-Sum HAP service. 5. Total & Permanent Disability – Delivers monthly salary replacement funding and a generous lump-sum payment to provide families with financial security and quality of life in the event of a serious accident. It also offers as non-insurance benefits, a medical discount network, prescription discounts and medical referral network. 6. Elite Excursions Enhanced – Dubbed “a traveler’s treasure trove”, it offers a variety of discounts on vacations, tour packages, cruises, bed & breakfasts, car rental, dining, golf resorts, and access to airline lounges worldwide. Also offered is a variety of trip protection benefits including trip cancellation/interruption reimbursement, baggage delay service, trip delay service and personal property protection for stolen items.
