APPLE VALLEY, Minn.- Wings Financial Federal Credit Union's new Egan branch design takes its inspiration from the air transportation industry. Evoking the "heritage of aviation architecture", the 5,300 square-foot facility houses a full service branch including ATM and drive-through teller lanes and its investment advisory subsidiary Wings Financial Advisors, Inc. The project was developed by the Haugland Company of Minnetonka in partnership with Eden Prarie-based HTG Architects and Shaw Construction. "Even during construction, people were captivated by the design of our new building," said Wings Financial FCU President/CEO Paul Parish. "The barrel ceiling and expansive glass across the front face of the building remind you of a classic aircraft hangar while the `control tower' in the lobby suggests the far flung nature of aviation. Our new building is a tangible statement of our passion for aviation, our commitment to the men and women in this industry and the professionalism of our organization as one of the largest credit unions in the country and the first credit union dedicated to the needs of the air transportation industry."
