BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University Federal Credit Union will be the title sponsor of the Dave Ramsey "Total Money Makeover Live" event. Ramsey, a popular radio talk show host, is a financial counselor who gives advice to listeners based on his findings during his journey of being a millionaire by the age of 26 and then bankrupt because of excessive debt within two years. "We are very excited about Dave Ramsey coming to Birmingham. We decided to sponsor the event because it's a perfect fit for us. Dave Ramsey is a strong advocate of credit unions as cooperative financial institutions that provide affordable financial services to people from all walks of life," said University FCU CEO Joe McGee. The event, "Total Money Makeover Live", will be held at UAB's Bartow Arena on Thursday, May 12th from 5:30 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
