PASADENA, Calif. - California and Nevada credit union leaders responded to phone calls from their colleagues during the fourth annual League Political Action Committee Phone Bank at Wescom Credit Union on May 6 by making $166,775 in contributions to League-PAC. Phone bank volunteers donated more than five hours at Wescom's Pasadena, Calif., headquarters calling their credit union colleagues throughout California and Nevada to solicit the contributions. League-PAC received donations both from credit unions and their employees. "This year's phone bank was a great success, generating record funds for critical political action activities," said David L. Chatfield, president and CEO of the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues. "Special thanks to Wescom Credit Union for providing the facilities, to the dedicated credit unions leaders who made the calls, and to the credit union leaders that responded so well to the requests for support of PAC efforts." -
