RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif. – The California CU League has opened a new office in the nation's capital in CUNA's headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue. The League said it wants to cement its federal advocacy presence with a D.C. location. Ryan Donovan serves as the League's Director of Washington Office. Prior to joining the League, Donovan was legislative director and former acting chief of staff for California Representative Brad Sherman. "Being the first statewide credit union trade association to have full-time staff working inside the nation's capital emphasizes the greater focus we are placing on political advocacy at the federal level on behalf of California and Nevada credit unions," said Matthew Davidson, League executive vice president. This is the League's second satellite office. Its state advocacy programs are run out of a Sacramento office. The office is at 601 Pennsylvania Ave, NW, Suite 600, South Building, Washington, DC 20004-2601. Donovan can be reached at (202) 508-6750, or [email protected]. Callers can also be transferred to the Washington office by calling the League's toll-free number, (800) 472-1702.
