BROOKFIELD, Wis. – Two of the big names in Check 21 image exchange – Fiserv Inc. and the Endpoint Exchange Network – are getting together. After a pilot exchange in the third quarter of this year, the more than 8,000 financial institutions served by the two networks will be able to exchange electronic check images, the companies say. The Fiserv Clearing Network operates five check processing facilities with more expected to open this year. The Endpoint Exchange Network owned by Metavante Corp., is the country's first electronic check-clearing network that capitalizes on existing imaging infrastructure and settlement relationships and has signed up more than 4,000 users in its first two years, that company said.
