NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – CUSOs and credit unions who are unable to attend NACUSO's 20th Annual Conference in Las Vegas May 8-11 will still be able to attend sessions – albeit remotely – thanks to the live Webcast that will be broadcast over the four days. The Webcast, the first full-blown one at a NACUSO conference is being handled by CIA Studios. The association tested the technology out at its fall conference last year in Hawaii. NACUSO Interim President Victor Pantea, president and chief operating officer of Member Gateways LLC said about 12 sessions will be covered during the Webcast including all of the general sessions and select breakout sessions. The general sessions will feature well-known credit union keynoters Chip Filson, president/CEO, Callahan & Associates; Ed Callahan, senior member leading Member Value Network; and Mike Hales. President, Counter Intelligence Associates. CIA Studios EVP Tom Glatt Jr. said the three breakout sessions during the conference are scheduled to run concurrently, so CIA Studios will select those breakouts it determines have the highest potential impact on CUSOs such as the ones concerning developing the successful business model, creating a collaborative CUSO, and another concerning the legal aspects of running a CUSO. The Webcast will be archived and copies will be available for up to six months after the NACUSO conference.
