LAS VEGAS – Meriwest Credit Union Senior Account Manager Tanya Edwards and MidFlorida Federal Credit Union Board Secretary Sandy Prince took home first and second place honors during the CU Conferences Business Development Select Employee Group Conference. The Share Your Successes winners were selected by their peers. Edwards cites branding as the key to a successful switch kit campaign. Kits featuring a unique art piece commission by the credit union appeared on everything from freebies and T-shirts to statement inserts and letterhead. The mural-like design incorporated community landmarks such as the downtown business district, Farmers Market, and a local theme park roller coaster. MidFlorida FCU submitted four campaigns that collectively took home second place honors. Developed to celebrate the credit union's 50th Anniversary, the credit union launched MidFlorida Money – scratch-off lottery tickets for a chance to win up to $50,000 for members opening new accounts or products In addition, an Earn ExtrA+ Credit, that benefited a K-12 school of members' choice each time they used their debit cards and a giveaway involving five Jeep Liberties in red, white and blue, commemorating the opening of five new branches, and signage promoting new drive-through hours contributed to the win. St. Louis-based CU Conferences holds some 18 conferences a year.
