WASHINGTON – America's Community Bankers has scheduled a news briefing for Feb. 8 when it issues the findings of its 2005 Real Estate Lending Survey. This marks the twelfth year the ACB has issued the annual survey which ACB says “is the only survey that focuses on the mortgage lending activities of community banks.” The survey focuses on trends, monitors secondary market sales and purchases, and tracks the emergence of new technologies and programs. The survey findings include responses from 553 community bankers. ACB also plans to use the news briefing to provide an update on member participation in its mortgage solutions programs with Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Countrywide Home Loans, CitiMortgage and Financial Freedom.
