WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Should credit unions be awarding members multi-million dollar year-end dividends, or should they use that money for offering better rates throughout the year? That was the topic of Credit Union Times' recently -expired online voting poll, and respondents were fairly evenly divided. While a majority felt that money should be given back in the form of better rates, it wasn't by much. The poll question and results are as follows: Should credit unions award members large patronage dividends at the end of their fiscal years? *Yes, it rewards members who use the CU as their primary financial institution and shows the CU difference

37.68% *No, that money should be given back throughout the year via better rates

56.76% *Not Sure
