TAMPA , Fla. – To encourage members to give to tsunami relief efforts, the GTE FCU Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization founded by GTE Federal Credit Union in 2002, will match up to $100,000 of contributions. "Our goal is to provide an incentive for people to give generously," said Foundation Administration Trustee and GTE FCU EVP/CFO Rich Helber. "We hope that by opening our doors to contributions and promising to match donations dollar-for-dollar, our members will feel compelled to join in this effort. In the greater scheme of this tragedy, it is our wish that our work encourage others to help this worthwhile cause." Donations will be forwarded to the International Red Cross's Tsunami Relief Fund.
