MADISON, Wis.-Through its International Division,, CUNA Mutual Group has stepped up to donate $100,000 to the Worldwide Foundation for Credit Unions Tsunami Disaster Relief Fund. Created by the National Credit Union Foundation to help rebuild credit unions and those communities affected by the tsunami the fund has helped raise some $300,000. "The tsunami is a disaster of epic proportions. CUNA Mutual wants to assist in the credit union recovery effort," said Ralph Swoboda, senior vice president of CUNA Mutual's International Division. "So many lives were lost and impacted, and hundreds of credit unions were destroyed. CUNA Mutual and its International Division join other leaders of the credit union industry in their efforts to help rebuild credit unions in the tsunami's path."
