MADISON, Wis. – Credit union staff can custom-design their own path to learning the rules and regulations of individual retirement accounts and health savings accounts at CUNA Mutual Group's 2005 IRA "Supertrain" compliance workshops. The five-day workshops will be held at seven sites during the year, said Andrea Hopkins, CUNA Mutual Group IRA training manager. "Supertrain allows attendees to focus on their specific areas of need and customize their own learning path," Hopkins said. "They'll leave with an increased level of confidence in serving members' IRA and HSA needs." Workshop topics include changes in contribution limits, required minimum distributions, rollovers, and IRS reporting, among many others. Introductory and brush-up workshops are also available. Participants will explore the advantages IRAs and HSAs offer and better understand recent changes in the complex and "often confusing regulations," Hopkins said.
