RALEIGH, N.C.- Once again State Employees Credit Union has lent a hand to the State Employees Combined Campaign. Continuing its tradition over the past three years, SECU has provided funding for costs associated with printing donor booklets and retiree pledge brochures. The donor booklets provide listings of the various organizations to which the donations are distributed, and the retiree pledge brochures are mailed to State retirees, providing them a convenient way to contribute to this effort. In addition, this year SECU also collected $48,967 for the campaign from generous staffers. A total of 506 employees contributed statewide. The SECC is a giving campaign that allows active and retired employees of the State of North Carolina to easily donate to charitable organizations. In 2004, SECC donated more than $4.5 million to over 1,000 different charitable organizations.
