WASHINGTON – Credit unions interested in learning more about mortgage lending can register to attend any one of nine Housing Finance Institute 2005 sessions planned by Fannie Mae in eight cities throughout the U.S. The dates and locations are: Feb. 8-10, Miami; March 7-10 and Oct. 10-13, Chicago; April 5-7, Seattle; May 10-12, New Orleans; June 7-9, Minneapolis; July 18-21, Washington, D.C.; Sept. 12-15, San Diego, and Nov. 14-17, Boston. The topics covered during the sessions are designed for mortgage finance and real estate professionals. Topics addressed include: how to do business with Fannie Mae; loan production – strategies for increasing loan originations and underwriting the property; secondary marketing; servicing; and investor accounting.
