WESTBROOK, Maine – For three credit unions here a new year meant a new name and brand identity. Dexter-based Dexter Regional FCU has become Maine Highlands FCU; Augusta-based Maine State ECU is now Maine State CU; and Portland-based Medical Services FCU is TruChoice FCU. An expansion in the field of membership prompted the new identity for Maine State CU and TruChoice FCU. For Maine Highlands FCU, the name change is a reflection of having multiple branches in the region it serves.
