Wy-South Federal Credit Union, Wyandotte, Mich., has broken ground on a new Flat Rock branch. With the talents of Sarnacki & Associates Architects and FH Martin Constructors the new 5,980 square-foot facility will feature a lobby with a children's play area, three loan offices, six teller windows, three drive thru windows and a drive-up ATM. The project is slated for completion in January of 2005. WCCU Credit Union, Westby, Wis., has tapped design/build firm La Macchia Group for its new branch in Reedsburg. Construction is expected to be completed in spring of 2005. The new facility will be 3,625 square feet and will include many of the latest technological advances in the service delivery and marketing areas. Reymet Community Federal Credit Union, Richmond, Va., has opened a full-service branch in a Wal-Mart SuperCenter in Midlothian. Open Mondays through Fridays from 9am -6pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm the branch includes a 24-hour ATM and night depository. DM Federal Credit Union, Tucson, Ariz., has opened its eleventh branch in the Arizona Pavilions Shopping Plaza. The branch offers a full range of products and services, including two drive-thru lanes, a drive-up and a walk-up ATM, and access to DM Business Lending & Services, as well as CU 1 Financial Services LLC. The architect of the 5,000 sq. ft. branch is Acorn and Associates Architecture, LTD, and the contractor is Giles Construction, Inc. Tennessee Valley Federal Credit Union, Chattanooga, has celebrated the grand opening of its Hamilton Place Branch. As part of the festivities the credit union has donated $2,500 to the Hamilton County Middle School Athletic Fund. The branch features changeable signage, an in-house video information system, a touch-screen interactive display and an Internet station where members can access their accounts online. Langley Federal Credit Union, Newport News, Va., has opened the doors to its latest Oyster Point Branch. The branch facility provides increased parking, multiple drive-thru lanes and improved branch accessibility. In addition, the Real Estate Lending Department plans to move to the new Oyster Point location in early January 2005. El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, El Paso, Texas, has opened its sixth new full service branch in El Dorado. The El Dorado office is a full service branch offering extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays, six drive-thru lanes, and a 24/7 drive-up ATM. Merced School Employees Federal Credit Union, Calif., has held a groundbreaking ceremony in kickoff its main branch renovation. The $5 million addition will add 12,000 square feet to the current building along with four drive-thru lanes and a drive-up ATM. Design/build firm HBE Financial Facilities estimates the project will be complete by December 2005. Hanscom Federal Credit Unon, Hanson, Mass., has completed a renovation of its O'Neill branch. A new, more accessible entrance leads to a spacious lobby with design elements similar to the credit union's recently renovated headquarters. New services include a coin counting machine that is free for members, as well as two Internet stations for viewing accounts and researching financial decisions. An additional teller station accommodates more members in less time. Two member service areas offer increased comfort and privacy for longer transactions. The branch also features a conference room, new furnishings, and design details similar to those at other Hanscom FCU branches. San Antonio Federal Credit Union, has broken ground on a new branch designed to serve the Medical Center. The facility will be high-tech with state-of-the-art equipment, yet it will be high-touch with personalized attention from SACU Trusted Advisors. Members will be able to choose to use a traditional teller or take advantage of the convenience of remote tellers, with six drive-up lanes, safe deposit boxes and two ATMs for member convenience. The branch is scheduled to open in spring 2005. MacDill Federal Credit Union, Tampa, has opened the doors to its newest financial center in New Tampa. The 6,000 square-foot facility features six teller stations, 10 member service offices, five drive-thru lanes, a drive-up ATM, online computers for account access, and a comfortable waiting area. The New Tampa financial center is MacDill FCU's 16th location in the five county Tampa Bay area. Andrews Federal Credit Union, Suitland, Md., has celebrated the ground breaking of its new branch on McGuire Air Force Base. The new facility will replace an older facility currently located on the base. Designed by DEI, Inc., the interior of this facility will feature the patriotic blues and greens of its members and graphics that reinforce the military theme with historical McGuire images, pictures inspired by aviation. Approximately 2,850 square feet, the branch will include an "InfoPort" to display literature on products and services as well as provide a computer for members to research financial information. A second computer will be available at the "Demo Desk" to help educate members about online banking.
