FLORISSANT, Mo. – St. Louis Community Credit Union has recently held an open house for its Florissant branch located across from Christian Hospital Northwest. According to St. Louis CCU Senior Vice President of Marketing/Business Development Skip Brown, with many area resident members asking for a branch closer to their homes the move to open a Florissant branch was a great opportunity to accommodate them while hopefully attracting new members as well. As part of the open house, the credit union donated $500 to the Florissant chapter of D.A.R.E. One of the unique aspects of the St. Louis Community branch is a mural behind the teller counter that reflects the history and culture of St. Louis, and specifically the North County area. Photos include the historic St. Ferdinand Catholic Church, Daniel Bissell House, a statue of Saint Louis and the Gateway Arch. "We are truly a community-minded organization," said Brown. "The mural is a reflection of the credit union's commitment to the communities we serve."
