VANCOUVER, B.C.-Vancouver City Savings Credit Union President and CEO Dave Mowat welcomed visiting NAFCU members to the city of the 2010 Winter Olympics at the opening of NAFCU's 37th Annual Conference and Exhibition. Canadian credit unions face some of the same challenges credit unions in America are challenged with. Mowat empathized it is not easy to achieve the economies of scale “but at the same time focus on what really makes us different.” VanCity, as the credit union is known, is Canada's largest credit union with over 300,000 members and $9 billion in assets.
