NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mish. – David Adams, president/CEO of the Michigan Credit Union League has been appointed by Gov. Jennifer Granholm to her Council of Economic Advisors. The Council was formed in 2003 and consists of nearly 50 business and community leaders responsible for generating ideas to help create jobs and boost the state's economy. Adams' term on the Council will run through October 2006. Governor Granholm said she considers the Council to be her ” `kitchen cabinet' of business and community leaders who are here to make Michigan the best place in the country to expand a business, grow a new venture or develop new products and services.” Adams said he considered his appointment to the Council to be “ a great opportunity for both me and Michigan credit unions.”
