HOUSTON – Although no credit unions are among the beta testers for the cards, credit unions are among the financial institutions awaiting PULSE’s new stored value product. The Houston based PULSE EFT Association is the only member owned ATM and EFT network in the country that has both credit union and bank members. Under the banner of PULSE Access, credit unions and banks which opt for the cards will be able to use the product as a gift card, payroll card or family card, the Association said. “We really think our product’s flexibility is one of the key things that differentiate it from the other stored value products out there,” said Cindy Ballard, Executive Vice President with PULSE. “Stored value products are very hot items these days and we think our credit unions and banks will appreciate their ability to tailor our product to fit their needs,” she added.
