PASADENA, Calif.- With some 4,000 members potentially impacted by the southern California wildfires, Wescom Credit Union has set up an emergency assistance program. According to Wescom CU Executive Vice President Jane Wood the credit union is prepared to provide emergency assistance including interest free loans, deferred payments to those sustaining property damage or loss, free replacement checks, the waiving of early withdrawal penalties on Certificates of Deposit, and the quick negotiation of checks from insurance companies or agencies such as FEMA.
