LOWELL, Mass. – Although its exterior may look like a quaint house, inside the Jeanne D'Arc Credit Union Chelmsford branch is a full-service retail center. The 4,600 square-foot branch includes such features as a flat screen plasma television screen, two drive-up teller lanes, a drive-up automated teller machine, member service area and a lending center. The lending center is designed to serve as a "one-stop" resource aimed at satisfying the real estate and consumer loan needs of members. The center will house five employees who will underwrite and close loans. Patricia Rooney, who has 13 years of experience with the credit union, will manage the branch. "As the credit union continues to grow, our philosophy has been to provide members with a combination of robust electronic banking services so that they may do their business remotely as well as brick and mortar facilities where members may conduct transactions personally with our staff," said JDCU President/CEO Paul Mayotte. "That `high tech/high touch' approach has been very critical to the ongoing success of this credit union."
