FLINT, Mich. – SECURITY Federal Credit Union is basking in the glow of a successful brand campaign. According to a recent survey conducted by CTS Advertising, name recognition and general awareness of SECURITY FCU have increased in the Flint and Saginaw areas. The television commercials and print ads feature actual SECURITY FCU staffers discussing the credit union's quality products and services and playing up the credit union's tagline as "The People Who Know". Seen on television stations and publications across Genesee and Saginaw counties the ads are helping build quite a fan base. "The public's response to our ads has been tremendous," said SECURITY FCU Marketing Director Nancy Goodwin. "Members have recognized several employees that appeared in our ads when they come into the credit union. This helps add another layer to SECURITY's credibility in the minds of many of our members." According to the survey, SECURITY is the third most frequently listed credit union named in "unaided" awareness tests administered to credit union members. This ranking is up from sixth place in 2001. Among non-credit union members, SECURITY was ranked as the second most recognized credit union by "aided" survey respondents.
