OVERLAND PARK, KS. – Roger Dick has joined U.S. Central as its new Director of Public Affairs/Communications. Dick fills a void left from Margaret Blankers, who left U.S. Central to start her own public relations firm. "Oddly enough I do not have a financial services background. I came from Yellow Corporation, the trucking conglomerate," said Dick. At Yellow, he was director of corporate communications, heading up all the external and internal communications. Prior to that he worked for a marketing agency in Kansas City as VP of public relations. "To be honest I didn't know a whole lot about them (corporates). I was aware of the credit union community. Community America is prominent here and is the credit union for Yellow. It's a very interesting industry. Corporates have some real opportunities and challenges," said Dick.
