DENVER – SunCorp is making moves to reflect its new membership, and they’re coming in the form of a new facility and new committee members. SunCorp completed two mergers in the last two years, one with Rocky Mountain Corporate and one with Nebraska Corporate Central, which just closed last October. Keeping with its plan to have credit unions from all of its primary states represented, SunCorp has made some new committee appointments to reflect its recent merger with Nebraska Corporate Central. *Gail DeBoer, Senior Vice President of Operations, SAC Federal Credit Union in Omaha, Nebraska, was appointed to the Supervisory Committee; *Tim Reinert, Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, Mutual First Federal Credit Union, Omaha, Nebraska, was appointed to the Asset Liability Committee; *Lynn Ann Bowers, Vice President of Operations, Omaha Federal Credit Union was appointed to the Credit Committee; *Brian Christensen, President, Columbus United Federal Credit Union, Columbus, Nebraska, was appointed to the Credit Committee. In a facility move, SunCorp announced plans to merge its Denver regional operations into a new office in Westminster, Colorado. It will serve as SunCorp’s headquarters and the Denver regional office. The move will be effective mid-February 2003. Currently SunCorp maintains three regional offices in Denver, Salt Lake City and Omaha. The new Westminster location will allow SunCorp to bring together its 70 Denver-area employees and item-processing activities into one central facility, currently spread out among three separate locations. The organization’s ability to perform item processing in a central location is expected to increase turnaround times for member transactions and requests. “This consolidation will greatly improve our intra-company communication and efficiencies by having all departments and personnel together in one common location,” said Eric Kenealy, SunCorp President and CEO. “Information-sharing between groups will become quicker and more effective, which in turn will allow us to better serve our members.” SunCorp will initially occupy 30,000 square feet of the new office space located at 11080 CirclePoint Road in Westminster. They will include seminar rooms equipped with the latest in audio-visual technology for more productive on-site training of employees and members. Contact numbers and e-mails will remain unchanged.
