ALBANY, N.Y. – It’s official. Gigi Hyland recently relocated to Albany, New York, from Alexandria, Va., and has been named General Counsel at the $4.4 billion Empire Corporate Federal Credit Union. Hyland will serve as Empire’s primary legal representation as it relates to the delivery of Empire’s products and services, and to provide legal counsel to Empire’s board and management to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies. Hyland is well-known in the corporate network for her work with the Association of Corporate Credit Unions as Executive Director “We are extremely fortunate and pleased to have Gigi as part of our management team,” said Joe Herbst, President/CEO, Empire Corporate. “Her extensive experience with corporate credit unions and overall knowledge of the industry is unparalleled.” Hyland holds a B.A. from the College of William and Mary and received her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law, both in Virginia. In addition, she holds a diploma of Advanced International Legal Studies from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, California.
