Credit Union Affiliates of New Jersey, Hightstown, regretfully announces the passing of longtime Fort Dix Federal Credit Union Board President John Kerner. Kerner served on the board for over 39 years and was known for his dedication to the credit union movement. Kerner is survived by his wife of 60 years Bertha and daughter Janet. Point West Credit Union, Portland, Ore., has announced the unfortunate passing of its former president/CEO Bob Burns. In addition to his role at Point West CU, Burns served as board director for CU Association of Oregon. A well-known, active member of the credit union movement Burns testified before the Senate Hearing Committee in Washington D.C. regarding bankruptcy laws and authored numerous articles in a variety of credit union publications.
