PORTLAND, Ore. – Ted Spooner, founder and long time CEO of Internet solutions firm Corillian, is now the company's chief corporate strategist, a newly-created position. Spooner, who has CU roots (once serving as CFO of First Tech CU, Beaverton, Ore.), was also appointed chairman of the executive committee. Alex Hart, Corillian's president, has been promoted to interim CEO while Corillian undergoes a CEO search. Corillian said Hart is a candidate for the CEO job. He joined the company in April 2000 as EVP of corporate development, and served as president since January 2001. Spooner founded Corillian in 1997. "I have always sought to build a strong foundation for the company with best-of-breed technology and experienced and talented people. I am proud to say that the foundation is as strong as ever," said Spooner. Corillian's Voyager platform is utilized by five of the top 10 and 21 of the top 100 U.S. banks. A number of large CUs also use Voyager.
