Central Florida Educators Federal Credit Union, Orlando, has announced its second quarter employees of the month as Carl Bennett, Linda Sanabria, and Renee Christie. Individuals chosen as "Employees of the Month" are cited for outstanding performance, teamwork and service to the credit union and its members. Winners receive a plaque denoting the honor and a monetary bonus. North Carolina Credit Union League, Greensboro, and the Carolinas Credit Union Foundation have sponsored the "Money Smart form the Start" financial literacy contest. High school teachers across the state were invited to participate in the contest during the spring. Teachers were asked to submit a letter of 300 words or less explaining why they feel financial education is important to include in their classroom curriculum and how it has impact the lives of their students. The winner, East Wake High School teacher Susan Hirsch, has been awarded $500.
