ATLANTA – Liberty FiTECH Systems has bought the credit union division of Perform Inc., a provider of data processing and other technology services to credit unions, schools and municipalities in the Dayton, Ohio, area. The division employs 12 people, and currently has nine credit union clients. Perform Inc. already was a licensed user of Liberty FiTECH's core processing solution but did not "provide all the optional modules," Liberty FiTECH said, so CU clients now will have a broader product line before them. Perform Inc. also had recently selected Liberty Cavion as its Internet banking vendor, making the acquisition of the privately held company's credit union division "even more logical from a strategic point of view," said Leon Steinberg, executive vice president of Liberty Enterprises. Steinberg said Perform Inc. would continue to offer supplemental support to client credit unions from its Dayton offices.
