I enjoyed Mike Welch's Aug. 7 column about chief executives of credit unions who don't embrace change ("Credit unions do good but could do better.") My firm provides executive talent to community credit unions and in the Pacific Northwest I hear too many say nothing is going to change. I had one chief executive of a $200 million credit union tell me that nothing has changed in 15 years, that people come there until they die. I don't see this attitude in any other financial services arena. George Hodges President HRT Inc. Bellevue, Wash.
