MADISON, Wis. – CUNA & Affiliates, through an expanded alliance with Travelers Express, is providing official checks – also known as cashiers checks or teller checks – to credit unions. The officials check program became available to CUs on Sept. 1. CUNA has also through Travelers Express provided CUs with a money order program for nearly 30 years. Based in Minneapolis, Minn., Travelers Express serves more than 12,000 financial institution locations in the U.S. In addition to official checks and money orders, the company also provides gift certificates and MoneyGram money transfer services.
