PASADENA, Calif. – Talk about branching out into new areas. Wescom Credit Union has signed Foothill Federal Credit Union as the first client for its Disaster Recovery service. The credit union is offering disaster recovery services through one of its CUSOs, Wescom Resources Group (WRG). The CUSO specializes in data processing and professional services. The Disaster Recovery Assistance program will allow Foothill Federal Credit Union to continue service to its 16,000 members in the event their main data center becomes incapacitated. During such an emergency, the servers at Wescom’s Tustin, California hot site will accommodate operation of Foothill’s Symitar host processing, ATM system, Web site, home banking program and audio response system. Foothill FCU will transmit and deliver daily back-ups of their data files to the Tustin facility to keep the systems up-to-date. [email protected]
