MADISON, Wis. – CUNA's Staff Training and Recognition Program has recently released three new Presidential Series modules. The series of self-paced learning modules include the following: Member Service: Exceeding Expectations lets students discover the key to providing service that exceeds member expectations. They will learn the basics of delivering courteous, accurate, and prompt service and learn how to identify and capitalize on opportunities to provide superior service that builds member loyalty. Successful Collections: Balancing Member Service and Credit Union Interests helps credit union staff understand the fundamental tools used by collectors in practicing their trade, discover the techniques used by today's successful collector, and be challenged to apply those techniques to real-life situations. Robbery Prevention and Preparation gives credit union staff the opportunity to understand robbery precautions by learning from case studies that challenge you to draw lessons from your own credit union. Students will learn how to deal with a robbery and be able to share the knowledge with other credit union staff. In addition, three more courses will make their debut by the end of the year including Financial Counseling for Members; Transitioning from Staff to Management; and Communications and Telephone Skills. Students earn the Washington Certificate and Pin for completing three Presidential Series courses and the Lincoln Certificate and Pin for completing six courses. Courses in credit union fundamentals must be completed before Presidential Series Certificates can be earned. The STAR program provides self-study courses on a wide range of topics.
