ARLINGTON, Va. – Credit unions might find new affinity packages from some card issuers hard to beat. Move over travel miles, gift selections and cash back points, a new credit card will offer its users the opportunity to purchase Extreme Adventures packages as a card perk. According to CardWeb.com, a site on the World Wide Web that tracks credit card news, Diners Club North America has decided to offer the Extreme Adventures program on its Carte Blanche cards. For between $120 to $450 per person, card holders can buy packages that allow them to free-fall for 60 seconds from 14,000 feet in the Chicago area, as well as hang glide, go hot air ballooning, deep sea fishing and race car driving in other places. Participating cardholders are also being given a free leather travel pocket atlas, the site reported.
