INDIANAPOLIS – Credit union data processor re:Member Data Services (RDS) has successfully completed its most recent independent SAS70 audit. The audit, conducted by the accounting and consulting firm of Crowe, Chizek and Company LLP, examined the controls placed on operations at RDS and tested overall operating effectiveness. Specific areas examined include cuStar product development, data security controls, service center operations, quality control, contingency plans, documentation, beta testing of new software releases, computer hardware maintenance, and facility security. Crowe Chizek conducted 20 days of intensive testing before releasing their final report. RDS receives SAS70 audits every 12-18 months. Additional examinations are performed by the Department of Financial Institutions for the state of Indiana and by independent auditors on an annual basis.
