CONCORD, Calif. – NCUA Board member Deborah Matz has just completed a tour of all six NCUA regional offices. Matz wanted to meet all regional staff and to review the practices and procedures of each regional office within six months of her Jan. 22 appointment. Matz was impressed by the commitment and professionalism of regional staff. "I have seen first-hand the professionalism and hard work of NCUA staff at all six regional offices. While there are differences among the regions – some work with more state-chartered credit unions than others; some supervise a preponderance of small credit unions; and some have a large number of community charters – it is clear that employees in all the regions take their regulatory duties very seriously," said Matz.
