MADISON, Wis. – The deadline for getting in nominations for the 2002 Credit Union Excellence in Lending Awards is days away. Nominations are being accepted until July 31. CUNA Mutual Group and the CUNA Lending Council are sponsors of the third annual awards. Four credit unions will receive awards – two in mortgage lending and two in consumer lending. Awards will be presented in each category to CUs with more than $200 million in assets and to those with less. Award winners will be recognized at the CUNA Lending Council conference Nov. 10-13 in Naples, Fla. CUs wanting to nominate themselves or another CU can receive an application by going to www.cunamutual.com and clicking on Resources, then Lending Resources. They can also call (800) 356-5012 and chose Option 2 to request a nomination form. The Credit Union Excellence in Lending Awards aim to identify, recognize and share examples of lending excellence among CUs.
