GLENDALE, Calif. – 1st City Savings FCU is now known as 1st City Credit Union. The $267.5 million credit union's application to convert to a state charter was approved in May and became effective July 2. 1st City Savings President Stephen Punch said the charter conversion was necessary to provide the CU "greater opportunities for growth." 1st City Savings has almost 45,000 members.
