MADISON, Wis. – TMH Federal CU in Tallahassee, Fla. is the first credit union in the Sunshine State to make the World Council of Credit Unions' International Remittance Network (IRnet) available to its members. The $23 million CU has about 5,400 members, many of whom represent a wide variety of immigrant cultures, including African, Caribbean, Cuban, Filipino and Mexican. TMH President/CEO Marion McCaskey said she estimated that "within 30 days there will be about 50 transfers a month" by members. Florida has the third highest immigrant population in the U.S., just behind California and New York.
