VIENNA, Va. – Navy FCU celebrated the opening of its newest branch on the Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) in Albany, Ga. On hand at the ribbon cutting ceremony were Col. Charles V. Mugno, base commanding officer, and Connie Schauer, branch office manager. Tim Martin, Albany Area Chamber of Commerce president, was also present to welcome the credit union to the community. Navy FCU's MCLB branch replaces the one formerly run by Albany Government Employees CU, which converted to a bank. Navy FCU's membership in the Albany area is open to all active duty Navy and Marine Corps personnel, Department of Defense employees, retirees and family members. Because of the unique circumstances surrounding MCLB Albany's work force, membership in the credit union will also be open to active duty Army.
