DULUTH, Ga. – Georgia Central staffers will hit the road this summer to educate its member CUs about the economy and strategic investments for excess liquidity. Set to take place in July and August, the tour will stop in 10 Georgia towns. "By and large, credit unions have a lot of liquidity right now, and they aren't finding very many attractive investment instruments," said Cory Johnston, Assistant Vice President, Investment Services. Johnston, who will be speaking during the seminar series, said that Georgia Central has developed several new investment products structured to help credit unions in this very liquid time. New Georgia Central CU President/CEO Greg Moore will also be part of the tour. Online registration is available at www.gacentral.org. In other news at the corporate, Angie Snow was promoted to Director of Operations. Prior to this, Snow worked as a Product Manager in Georgia Central's Investment Services department. Snow will oversee the Operations department at Georgia Central and serve as a liaison with external service providers and other internal departments.
